International Football Coach



Coach Franco Arellanos is a British-Mexican-American football coach who brings over 20 years of of coaching experience at various levels, including Youth, Highschool, College, Pro and Semi-Pro, performing different coaching roles, such as HC, OC, DC, STC, throughout his career. He’s worked within NFL Europe “International Player Development Program” out of London UK (1999-2003). Between 2014-2016 he coached JuCo at Globe Institute of Technology as a ST Coordinator and RB’s coach, contributing to the team’s 8-2 most successful season in 2015 and helping Darrius Webb achieve the lead rusher and 3rd best RB is the country.

Coach Franco has also collaborated with NFL International Pathway Program in the identification of International talent. He’s participated in various NFL camps as part of each team’s coaching observing program, including NY Giants (2012-2019), Miami Dolphins (2017) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (2017-18). He’s also participated with the Jacksonville Jaguars Academy in 2017 as an Assistant Coach. In addition, he’s helped the NFL Internacional Game Operations team, contributing during the making of the International Series game in Mexico City Patriots vs Raiders. Between 2017-2019, he collaborated and significantly contributed to the success of the NFL International Pathway Development Program as both scout and recruiter of Mexican athletes, were both Máximo Gonzales most recently Isaac Alarcon were recruited as prospects to the NFL, (Issac Alarcon was recently allocated to the Dallas Cowboys for the 2020 season). In parallel, he‘s played a critical role in the expansion of the Pro Football Hall Of Fame Academy satellite camps into international as Head of International Football Development & Operations in 2018, helping bring football camps to Europe and where he also played assistant coach. Most recently, was part of the coaching staff of the professional football league The Spring League (TSL) coaching alongside Coach Charles Bresnahan with the JOUSTERS, plying DB and HC Assistant coach as well as Managing Player Personnel.

Coach Franco Arellanos played as QB in college for both Royal Eagles of U.N.A.M. and Wild Reindeers of C.U.M.D.E.S. in Mexico City before playing semi-pro for the London Thunders, where he took the team to playoffs during their debute year in 1992. He later played his last years with the London Olympians in U.K. finally retiring in 2001. During his time with London Olympians he helped the team achieve 2 consecutive championships and one European Bowl vs. Oslo Vikings. Coach Franco graduated from Kingston University where he completed his masters degree. Coach Franco is currently coaching as HC at University of Hertfordshire in U.K. and is also helping Xavier High School in NYC as HC of the JV squad.
